The proposed Early Learning Centre will provide a high quality
child care and educational environment for up to 90 children
between the ages of 0-5.

Located at St John the Baptist Catholic Primary School, adjacent
to Cowpasture Road, the proposed building and outdoor play
area nestle behind an existing vegetated mound, which acts as an
acoustic and visual screen to Cowpasture Road, and provides a
landscaped backdrop to the outdoor play area and the outlook
from within the building.

Designed to suit modular construction techniques, the building
playfully utilises a modest palette of lightweight materials to
modulate scale and provide visual colour and interest.

Outdoor play areas build on the existing planting scheme, and
manipulate ground levels to create a series of active and passive
play spaces to create a stimulating environment where children’s
imagination and creativity can be fostered.

A Development Application for the project has been submitted
to Fairfield City Council, and is currently being assessed.
